ONBEAT’s “Smash Hits 01” will be held at YUGEN Gallery from Saturday, April 2nd to Thursday, April 7th, 2022.
The bilingual art information magazine “ONBEAT” under the title of “Attention young artists recommended by ONBEAT” has been transferred to Shibuya “YUGEN Gallery” and “Smash Hits 01” from “It will be in the title of “ON BEAT”.

Hirono Asaka / HIROYOSHI ASAKA
Born in Osaka in 1977. Graduated from Kyoto University of the Arts (now Kyoto University of the Arts). 2009, 2012, 2017, 2020 Takashimaya Touring Exhibition (Tokyo, Osaka), 2014 Aoyama Gallery (Tokyo), 2015 Isetan Shinjuku Store (Tokyo) and many other solo exhibitions. 2016 “Collection” (Micheko Gallery/Germany), 2019 “VOLTA Basel” (Switzerland), “PULSE Art Fair” (Miami), “Art Center” (Hong Kong), “Break Eve Exhibition” (Roppongi Hills A/D) Participated in many group exhibitions and art fairs in galleries/Tokyo etc. His works are collected in Osaka City, Ginza Yongkokuya (Tokyo), and Ohara Mountain Shrine (Fukuoka).

Stone Village / DAICHI ISHIMURA
Born in Ehime Prefecture in 1991. 2020 Completion of the Department of Crafts, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. 2018 “KENZAN” (Tokyo University of the Arts), “Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial” (Niigata), “Tokyo Harvest” (Toranomon Hills/Tokyo), “Gaidai Art Twin Marunouchi” (Marunouchi Building/Tokyo) ), participated in many group exhibitions and art fairs in 2021, such as “Dense IX” (Tokyo University of the Arts/Tokyo). Izumi Sakai / IZUMI
Born in Tokyo. Graduated from the Department of French Literature, Faculty of Letters, Meiji Gakuin University in 1993. From 1996 to 1996, he studied pottery with Tadako Lingzi of Xiakan Kiln. From 1997 to 1998, he went to France to make pottery in a studio hosted by Paris, and became independent in 2005. He has held numerous solo exhibitions at Gallery Hanakagesho (Tokyo) from 2003 to 2021, at “Art Fair Tokyo” (Gallery Hanakagesho booth) in 2021, and at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store in 2017, 2018 and 2020. In 2018, he participated in several group exhibitions and art fairs such as “Netsuke Exhibition – Special Exhibition of Fashion Jewelry and Edo Crafts: Takamado Miyake Netsuke Collection” (Hiroshima Art Museum). Toru Ichikawa / Toru Ichikawa
Born in Tokyo in 1973. In 2011, he studied under Ryuichi Hikizaki and became independent in 2015. He has held several solo exhibitions in large domestic department stores such as Nihonbashi Takashimaya, Yokohama Takashimaya, Osaka Daimaru, and Tenmaya. 2017 “Art Beijing” (Beijing), “Revelation International Biennale of Fine Arts and Creation” (Paris), 2018 “Asian Contemporary Art Exhibition 2018 Autumn Edition” (Hong Kong), “Tokyo Art Fair”, 2019 “Asian Art Fair” Fukuoka” has participated in group exhibitions and art fairs many times. Norihisa Ichimura / NORIHISA ICHIMURA
Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1979. After graduating from the Department of Photography, Osaka University of Arts, School of Art, he worked in Tokyo, Shanghai, and New York, and is currently based in Tokyo. Yuki IDE GUCHI
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1986. Graduated from the Department of Painting, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2013. 2015 “Waves – Life and Death” (Chinese American Arts Council/New York), 2016 “Vortex” (Resobox/New York), 2017 “Seashore” (Resobox/New York), 2018 “Water and Sky” (Nihonbashi) Mitsukoshi Main Store/Tokyo), 2020 “Alive” (Takashimaya Shinjuku/Tokyo) and many other solo exhibitions.
